The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has reported a second arrest in the ongoing investigation of a shooting involving an off-duty ATF agent as the victim in Riverview. The incident took place on the night of December 27, 2024, at The Alley at Southshore. HCSO confirmed the recent developments earlier this month in a social media post.

As part of their ongoing investigation, authorities identified Tia Heyward, a 23-year-old suspected of assisting the shooter after the incident. Following the issuance of a warrant on Wednesday, Heyward was arrested. She now faces charges including attempted first-degree premeditated murder and simple battery.

The charges listed against Heyward, as outlined by HCSO, include attempted first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm, accessory after the fact to great bodily harm, accessory after the fact to aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm or death, and two counts of simple battery.

As HCSO continues their investigation, updates on the case and the condition of the ATF agent are to be provided by the Public Affairs Office.
