Eric Krassman Jr. is the accused juvenile, wanted for the fatal shooting of Darell Love, also 16, in an incident that occurred on December 18 in Beaver Falls.
The apprehension of Krassman became more of an ordeal after it was alleged that others intervened—a move that led to a series of arrests taking place early yesterday. According to WPXI, those detained and implicated include Eric Krassman Sr., Stevie Jo Canakes, Kevin Goode Jr., Paige Goode, Sandra Mccullough, Payge Murphy, and Eric Walker. The charges center predominantly on suspicions of hindering apprehension, with some individuals facing additional counts related to obstructing the course of justice.
The narrative of the night's tragic events, as revealed in a criminal complaint, highlights a moment of sheer terror—it describes how Love’s mother heard a sudden, loud bang and soon thereafter found her son bleeding profusely from his head. The mortally wounded teen identified Eric Krassman Jr. as the shooter, a claim corroborated by the discovery of a semiautomatic handgun at the scene. Love subsequently succumbed to his injuries at Allegheny General Hospital, as detailed in a report by CBS News Pittsburgh.
In the aftermath, local police, believing Krassman to be armed and potentially dangerous, appealed for public assistance in locating him.
