A St. Louis County jury has found 35-year-old Moreion Lindsey guilty in a murder-for-hire plot that led to the death of New Jersey man Titus Armstead in 2022. The trial concluded on Thursday, confirming Lindsey's involvement in the scheme.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Lindsey was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and the actual act of murder-for-hire. The trial revealed that on April 21, 2022, Lindsey shot and killed Armstead at Penrose Park in St. Louis as part of a plan orchestrated by co-conspirators.

Ray Bradley, a New Jersey man involved in drug trafficking, was identified as the mastermind. He blamed Armstead for the loss of drugs and money and enlisted Jerome Williams to find someone to carry out the murder. Lindsey was hired for the job and met Armstead under the pretense of offering protection before killing him with a .45-caliber handgun. Lindsey was paid $15,000 for the murder, which he received from Williams after disposing of key evidence, including Armstead’s personal items and a burner phone used to arrange the killing.

After the murder, Lindsey used part of the payment to buy a new Chevrolet Suburban the following day. Lindsey is scheduled for sentencing on April 24, facing a mandatory life sentence. Bradley has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, and Williams has been held accountable for evidence tampering.

The case was investigated by the FBI, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and the Atlanta Division of the DEA. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Angie Danis, Ryan Finlen, and Nathan Chapman prosecuted the case.
