Mesa's Historical Home Tour Showcases Century-Old Architecture on January 18Source: City of Mesa

The Mesa Historical Home Tour is scheduled for January 18, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m, participants can tour twelve homes showcasing a variety of architectural styles, including Craftsman Bungalows and Ranch homes. The homes on the tour are not just ordinary houses; they are a part of Mesa's rich history, located in the West Second Street and Evergreen historic districts. The West Second Street Historic District, the oldest in Mesa, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1999, thanks to its unique architecture and connection to early local entrepreneurs, according to a MesaNow.org article.

The Evergreen Historic District takes you back to 1909, when it was a newly developed neighborhood that set the standard for middle and upper-class living from 1910 to 1948. More than just charming facades, the district is deeply tied to Mesa's developmental history, which led to its inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.

Tickets for the tour are $20 each and can be purchased online or in person on the day of the event from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Aster Senior Center, located at 247 N. Macdonald. Digital ticket holders can exchange their tickets for a wristband and booklet at the southeast corner of Macdonald and Third Place. The wristband is required for access to the homes. All ticket proceeds will benefit the Mesa Historical Museum, MesaNow.org reports.
