The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking public input on a plan to upgrade Stoughton's public drinking water system. Stoughton plans to use funds from the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program to replace watermains along U.S. Highway 51.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced, "The Safe Drinking Water Loan Program has determined that the project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects, and no further environmental review or analysis is needed before proceeding with funding the project." The DNR is inviting public comments on the potential environmental impact of the project.
The public can submit comments until February 11. Comments should be sent to Brian Boelkow at the Community Financial Assistance department or via email at [email protected].
