
Authorities have apprehended a suspect in connection with the armed robbery of a Domino's Pizza outlet in South Sacramento that occurred in December last year. The incident, which took place around 10 p.m. on December 8, 2024, involved two male suspects who entered the Gerber Road establishment. During the robbery, one of the perpetrators jumped over the counter, brandishing a firearm, and coerced a staff member into opening the store's safe, resulting in the theft of approximately $500. Sacramento County Sheriff's Robbery Detectives identified Johnny Battle, a 33-year-old individual on Post Release Community Supervision from Sacramento County, as one of the robbers involved in the crime. He was captured at a hotel in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood last Thursday. Battle is currently being held at the Sacramento Main Jail, facing a court date tomorrow, and is being held without the possibility of bail.
The investigation remains open and active as detectives continue their efforts to identify the second suspect involved in the robbery. The Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact them directly or through Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers, noting that information leading to an arrest could result in a cash reward of up to $1000, with assurances that tipsters may remain anonymous, contact methods include the "P3 TIPS" app, online submissions, and phone calls to their designated hotline.
