A tragic event unfolded in Thousand Oaks after authorities discovered a woman's body in a hotel room at the Palm Garden Hotel. On Monday, a man contacted the sheriff's dispatch at 10:47 PM claiming responsibility for the homicide of his girlfriend and expressing suicidal thoughts, as disclosed by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department in a press release. Responding deputies from the Thousand Oaks Police Station found the suspect at the scene. He was promptly detained and later arrested.
