St. Petersburg police have arrested Cory Kendrick in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred over several days. According to WFLA, Kendrick was taken into custody last Thursday after a string of incidents involving smashed car windows and stolen property. Authorities have linked him to 11 reported burglaries at a Publix parking lot, as well as additional break-ins at a nearby dentist office.
The 24-year-old suspect, Cory Kendrick, was caught on camera using his bicycle to quickly enter and exit the parking lots during the burglaries. Kendrick has been charged with multiple counts of vehicle burglary, armed vehicle burglary, and other offenses, as per the FOX 13 News. Police were able to identify and apprehend him with the help of surveillance footage that clearly captured his actions during the crime spree.
During Kendrick's arrest, two firearms were recovered, increasing the severity of the charges against him. The St. Petersburg Police Department indicated that there may be additional victims, suggesting his criminal activities could extend beyond the known incidents. WTSP reported that detectives are continuing to reach out to potential victims and witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation.
