A 15-year-old boy was injured following a collision between a snowmobile and a truck that took place in Mecosta County. The incident occurred near 18 Mile Road and 55th Avenue in Fork Township yesterday, around 11:30 a.m., as reported by FOX 17. Authorities responded promptly to the accident where the teen had to quickly be transported to Corewell Health Big Rapids Hospital after being thrown from his snowmobile upon impact.
The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office, according to UpNorthLive, states that the teen was turning out of a private driveway onto 18 Mile Road when he inadvertently entered the path of a westbound vehicle. The sheriff's deputies have been actively investigating to thoroughly understand the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate encounter.
Fork Rescue/Barryton Fire Department and Mecosta County Emergency Medical Services collaborated with the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office at the scene. The teen sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was provided with immediate medical attention. No other injuries were reported from the incident.
