Beachgoers heading to Hanalei Bay in the coming days should be aware that several county parking lots in the area will be temporarily closed for repairs. Alternative parking will be required on Thursday and Friday from 5 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for those planning to enjoy the beach or surf, as confirmed by officials.
The closure is necessary to allow for repair work, so those planning to use these public spaces should adjust their schedules or find alternative parking. The affected areas include the Hanalei Black Pot near Weke Road, Waioli Beach Park (Pine Trees) parking lot two near Anae Road, the Hanalei Pavilion near Weke Road and Pilikoa Road, and Waioli Beach Park (Pine Trees) parking lot one near He‘e Road.
