Part of Keysville Road is getting a temporary shutdown due to some much-needed rail crossing fixes. Starting bright and early at 6 a.m. today, until the weekend kicks off on Saturday, February 1, the stretch between Tatum Road and Swilley Road will be off-limits, as detailed in a Hillsborough County announcement.

The closure is part of a project undertaken by CSX to repair the railroad tracks. Simultaneously, the County is seizing the opportunity to spruce up the adjoining road surfaces. Motorists looking to skirt around the construction can take alternative routes via County Road 39, State Road 60, and Turkey Creek Road.

For more details or questions about the roadwork, Hillsborough County Public Works Customer Service can be reached at (813) 635-5400. Inquiries can also be sent to [email protected].
