Starting from 9 p.m. tomorrow, to the wee hours of 6 a.m., Friday, one westbound lane will be closed for traffic signal maintenance. Travelers should anticipate potential delays through Puʻunēnē during these overnight hours.
While the disruption is expected to be minimal with only a single westbound lane being unavailable, it's happening on both sides of the intersection with Cane Haul Road, an area that could become a bit of a squeeze as vehicles merge over and the work is carried out, and the eastbound traffic will maintain its normal pace with two lanes staying wide open for those heading in that direction.
To ease through this necessary inconvenience, HDOT urges drivers to comply with traffic directions and be vigilant for the safety of the workers present on-site.
