Tragedy struck a Butler home on College Street, where a possible carbon monoxide leak has left three people deceased and two others hospitalized. According to reports from WPXI, the Butler County coroner stated the casualties involved two males and one female, though names have yet to be disclosed pending family notification.
Emergency services, including firefighters and paramedics, were witnessed arriving at the scene earlier this week. Dispatchers have also confirmed that People's Gas responded to reports of the leak. Still, after inspection, a People's Gas representative stated that they did not find any leaks or threats in the neighborhood, as per WTAE.
The two individuals who were hospitalized following the incident remain under medical care, although their current conditions have not been released. Investigations into the cause of the fatalities are still ongoing.
