Earlier this morning, a devastating RV fire in Aliquippa claimed two lives. According to WPXI, the tragedy on the 600 block of Sohn Road, reported around 6 a.m., was confirmed by Aliquippa Fire Chief Timothy Firich upon the crew's arrival.
The situation escalated as a concerned onlooker informed the firefighters about the possible occupants still within the RV, with Fire Chief Firich recounting the incident, "A bystander had come out, from somewhere here on the scene, reporting that there was possibly two people missing, that she believes were in the RV," in a statement cited by WTAE.
Amidst the recovery and firefighting efforts, a firefighter sustained a minor leg injury and, after initial treatment on-site, sought further medical attention. Another individual, whose involvement was unclear, was taken to a Pittsburgh trauma hospital.
