With assistance from a canine team and advanced inspection technology, officers uncovered 29.80 pounds of suspected methamphetamine. This batch alone was estimated to have a street value of more than $266,452.
Following close on the heels of the first, a second bust occurred on the Saturday. A 2007 Freightliner hauling what was deemed to be a shipment of mechanical appliances was found, upon a thorough inspection, to really be transporting a staggering 2,708.15 pounds of alleged marijuana.
