
Long Beach experienced a moment of tension on the night of January 10 that, fortunately, did not culminate in physical harm. According to a statement released by the Long Beach Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of East 19th Street after receiving reports of gunfire at roughly 11:48 p.m.
Upon arrival, the officers found that a male adult victim had been the target. While seated in his vehicle, the individual was allegedly confronted by a male adult suspect. Trying to escape the impending threat, the victim attempted to drive off. It was at this juncture that the suspect fired shots in his direction, as reported by the LBPD.
The suspect had vanished by the time law enforcement arrived, disappearing into the cloak of night with the echo of his violent intent. Thankfully, "No injuries were reported," as confirmed by the Long Beach Police Department. Information about the suspect and the motive is currently under investigation.
