The Vallejo Police Department is tirelessly working to uncover the details surrounding a tragic hit and run that claimed the life of a female pedestrian on December 18, 2024. According to a statement released by the Vallejo Police Department, the incident occurred near Sonoma Boulevard and Missouri Street early, around 7:01 a.m.
Distressingly left in the roadway, the woman was discovered unresponsive and subsequently rushed to the nearest trauma center by Medic Ambulance, with assistance from both VPD and the Vallejo Fire Department. Although initially in critical condition, the woman later passed away from her injuries on Tuesday, marking the 12th such traffic-related fatality in the area for the year.
