This morning, chaos erupted in Bellevue when a vehicle burst through the structural integrity of a parking deck, leaving one person hospitalized. Responding to the incident around 12:30 a.m., the Emsworth Volunteer Fire Company and crews from the Avalon and Bellevue volunteer fire departments rushed to the scene outside the Fremont Square apartment building at 50 S. Fremont Ave., as reported by TribLIVE.
Photos on social media show the car crashing through a parking lot and landing in a garage below. Rescuers worked to free the driver, who had only minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, not very far from the scene, work was underway to address a water main break along South Fremont Avenue. While the exact condition of the individual injured in the crash has not been publicly shared, WTAE noted that the correlation, if any, between the events remained undetermined.
