Tragedy struck the Victorville community on Saturday afternoon when two people lost their lives in a devastating crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. According to the SBSD Victorville Police Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of Air Expressway Boulevard and Nevada Avenue around 3:31 PM.
The victims, a 45-year-old female and a 35-year-old male from Adelanto were on the white Harley-Davidson motorcycle that collided with a silver Volkswagen Passat. First responders arrived to find the two motorcycle riders with life-threatening injuries, who were subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene, as detailed by the SBSD Victorville Police Department. The Volkswagen driver suffered injuries as well and was transported to an area hospital.
Following the incident, the stretch of Air Expressway Boulevard from Nevada Avenue to Phantom East was closed down for hours to allow the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team to take over the investigation.
