Wake Forest is calling on residents within its boundaries and extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) to step up and apply for one adult and three youth vacancies on the Urban Forestry Board (UFB). With the January 15 deadline fast approaching, there's not much time left to get your application in.
The UFB is geared towards individuals passionate about urban forestry and environmental stewardship. According to the announcement from the Town of Wake Forest, candidates who apply will have a chance to introduce themselves at the January 28 UFB meeting, where they'll need to share their motivations for wanting to serve. This opportunity allows locals to deeply engage with their community's environmental planning and greenery preservation.
A computer kiosk is available at Town Hall, or you can snag a hard copy of the application by reaching out to Deputy Town Clerk Ella Dowtin. Just dial 919-435-9436 or send an email to [email protected].
