State troopers are investigating a shooting on Interstate 405 and are asking for witnesses to come forward. The incident took place on Sunday, when a 9-1-1 call reported a motorist being shot at around 7:40 p.m. while driving. The Washington State Patrol's news release shared details of the victim’s vehicle, a BMW X1, which was damaged on its left rear door and window.
The driver, unharmed, described the suspect's vehicle, a silver Ford Crown Victoria, which sped up, pulled alongside, and fired several rounds as they were northbound near SR 169. The suspect, a white male in his 20s with shaggy hair and wearing a black hoodie, then fled north on I-405.
