Westminster Police Department has initiated an intensive search for three male suspects following a series of car break-ins and a shooting incident on Saturday morning. According to 9News, the suspects are believed to be involved in criminal activities spanning vehicle burglaries in the vicinity of Winona Court and 72nd Avenue.
Escalating their purported crime spree, the men fled the scene in a gold Kia Sedona minivan and were reported to have shot at an unsuspecting driver at the intersection of 76th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. "The driver was unharmed, although the bullet pierced the windshield," reports The Denver Post. Witnesses described the suspects wearing puffer jackets and face masks, with at least one of them armed with a gun.
As the authorities continue to promptly investigate, they urge the community to be vigilant and cautious against approaching the suspects, who are considered armed and dangerous. “Anyone who may recognize the Kia or the suspects is asked not to approach them, instead call Westminster police at 303-658-4360,” as detailed by KDVR.
