White Pine Fire Department credited Governor Bill Lee, Tennessee elected officials, the TN Department of Commerce & Insurance, and the TN State Fire Marshal's Office for their role in securing the grant. Their Facebook post mentioned "the need for fire and rescue funding opportunities throughout our great state" and the steps taken to provide funding to departments statewide. The grant will be used to purchase modern personal protective equipment for firefighters.
According to the White Pine Fire Department on their Facebook page, the recent grant funding and equipment upgrades will enhance their ability to respond to fires and emergencies. The department expressed their gratitude, stating, "we are very thankful," for the support.
