
A late-night shooting in Houston's Eastex-Jensen neighborhood has left a woman in her early 20s dead and a man in his late 40s with multiple gunshot wounds, according to details released by local law enforcement. The Houston Police Department reported the incident occurred shortly before midnight last Saturday on the 3800 block of Hage Street, as per FOX 26 Houston.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman with a critical gunshot wound to her stomach; efforts to revive her at the scene were initiated by emergency responders, but she died after being transported to a nearby hospital. The man, who also sustained gunshots to his shoulder and chest, was shot at least two times and was subsequently taken to a hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries, according to KHOU.
The Houston Police Department stated the man and woman appeared to have some type of relationship and were involved in a "physical altercation" leading up to the shooting.
