Tragedy struck last Friday evening when a 35-year-old woman lost her life in a vehicular collision at 6400 South Lake Houston Parkway. The fatal incident, which occurred around 7:25 p.m., is now under the scrutiny of the Houston police. After the crash, the victim was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital, where she could not be revived and was subsequently pronounced dead. Her identity remains confidential, pending formal verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and officers from the Northeast Patrol Division, the woman was navigating her black Jeep Cherokee, when she made a westbound turn and collided with a southbound gray Mitsubishi Outlander. A preliminary probe suggests the woman might not have yielded the right of way while executing the turn. Driving the Mitsubishi was a 42-year-old female accompanied by a 13-year-old passenger, both of whom sustained injuries and were taken to an area hospital in stable condition. The investigation into the death of the 35-year-old woman continues, as per the HPD.
