
A woman was found dead after firefighters extinguished a blaze in a San Marino home on Monday morning. The San Marino Fire Department received calls about a house fire around 9:25 a.m. in the 2000 block of Lorain Road, as reported by CBS News Los Angeles article. Fire crews found the woman deceased upon entering the residence.
While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, the San Marino Fire Department's Arson Investigators and the San Marino Police Department are spearheading the inquiry. "It's unclear what sparked the fire or how exactly the woman died. Authorities told Eyewitness News they are investigating and are 'following protocols'", as stated by ABC7.
No additional information was immediately released, as per FOX LA. Authorities urged anyone with information to come forth, whether through direct contact or anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
