
On Tuesday, Worcester officers stopped a vehicle for crossing the line at a stop sign and arrested two individuals on drug-related charges. The traffic stop led to the discovery of more serious offenses, as stated by the Worcester Police Department.
A routine traffic stop led to a major drug bust when police discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia near Phisath Saphirak, a passenger with outstanding warrants. Saphirak was arrested, and further search revealed methamphetamine on him. The driver, Theresa Mascroft, was also arrested after police found a large amount of fentanyl and methamphetamine in her purse, including 14 bags of fentanyl, 7 bags of methamphetamine, and three bags of various pills. Mascroft now faces trafficking charges, as reported by the Worcester Police Department.
Mascroft and Saphirak were arrested on drug charges, including "Possession to Distribute Class B, Possession w/ Intent to Distribute Class E, Trafficking in Class B 18-36 Grams, Fentanyl Trafficking in More Than 10 Grams and a Stop Sign Violation," according to the Worcester Police Department. Saphirak also had three outstanding warrants.
