The Wright County Sheriff’s Office released a report summarizing the arrests from the week ending January 13th, with various incidents ranging from controlled substance charges to domestic assault. Noteworthy was the arrest of Taylor Ryan Brummer, 47, from Montrose, who on January 6th found himself facing Wright County warrants for 3rd Degree DWI Test Refusal and 5th Degree Controlled Substance, as detailed on the county's official website.
On that same day, an array of arrests occurred throughout Wright County. Among those, Paul Kevin Buelow, 55, of St Cloud, was arrested specifically on a 2nd Degree Controlled Substance charge. Also included in the mix was Daniel John Gustavson, 41, of Minneapolis, who faced charges of 3rd Degree DWI and 5th Degree Controlled Substance, in addition to a Wright County warrant for a similar substance violation. These incidents were part of clearly demonstrating the ongoing crackdown on driving under the influence and drug-related offenses within the county.
The report further noted an increase in traffic-related incidents with 48 Property Damage Accidents and 10 Personal Injury Accidents recorded over the week. Furthermore, the authorities also made arrests for nine DWIs but reported no underage consumption during this time. Enforcement efforts also nabbed six violations for School Bus Stop Arm Violations and issued 127 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations.
Domestic disturbances also featured prominently in the sheriff's office report. On January 9th, Alyssa Rose Keesling, 33, of Buffalo, was picked up on a charge of Domestic Assault. Shawn William Lampi, 38, of Annandale followed suit, with an arrest on January 12th on similar charges. Meanwhile, Matthew Robert Coon, 48, and Damien Hurley, 44, both from Monticello, found themselves booked for 2nd and 3rd Degree DWI respectively, as the week appeared to further lay bare the interconnected strands of substance use and vehicular safety.
The county's diverse array of arrests, from routine DWIs to more severe allegations of criminal sexual conduct, marked a busy period for law enforcement, highlighting their ongoing efforts to not only maintain but also actively better public safety. With a total of 13 Car Deer Accidents also part of this week's sum, the report from Wright County Sheriff’s Office served as a testament to both the ubiquitous and undiscriminating nature of criminal justice and public service engagements.
