
In a recent turn of events, the authorities have reported an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting at a senior living facility in the Central District. According to the Baltimore Police Department, officers apprehended 65-year-old Norman Waker, who allegedly shot two other residents yesterday.
The incident, which took place on North Central Avenue, left one man, 79-year-old Clyde Barnes, dead and another, a 72-year-old male, critically injured. Waker was arrested at the scene by officers responding to the shooting and now faces charges including first-degree murder.
Following the attack, local authorities were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:07 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the victims and began securing the area. SWAT teams thoroughly searched the premises, ultimately finding Waker, a facility resident. He was immediately taken into custody and later transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
