Tragedy struck yesterday morning in Pickaway County as a vehicle collision claimed the life of a local man. The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office reported that Kaleb Miller, 33, of Amanda, Ohio, died after his car crashed into a utility pole on Bell Station Road approximately half a mile west of Walnut Creek Pike in Circleville Township. The accident occurred around 3:30 a.m., according to WBNS.
Upon arrival, first responders found a 2005 Buick LaCrosse that veered off the road, resulting in a severe crash with a utility pole. Driving eastbound before it left the roadway, Miller was ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Pronounced dead at the scene was Miller by Pickaway Township EMS, stated a report by Scioto Post.
As the community mourns the loss, Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey extended his gratitude towards the Pickaway Township EMS, Circleville EMS, Harrison Township EMS, Walnut Township Trustees, Pickaway County Coroner’s Office, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol, who provided immediate assistance in the aftermath of the crash. "Sheriff Hafey expressed gratitude to Pickaway Township EMS, Circleville EMS, Harrison Township EMS, Walnut Township Trustees, the Pickaway County Coroner's Office, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol for their assistance in responding to the crash," reported in a statement obtained by Scioto Post.
The details surrounding the cause of the crash are still under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office. Although it was dark during the crash, no further information has been released regarding the potential factors that led to the vehicle's departure from the roadway. The victim, identified as Kaleb Miller, was sadly pronounced dead after being ejected, according to FOX28.
