A wrong-way collision on Interstate 93 in Plymouth has led to multiple injuries and the arrest of the driver who allegedly caused the crash. On the evening of Monday, shortly after 8 p.m., State Troopers were dispatched to the northbound offramp of I-93 where a 2020 Subaru Outback, driven by 33-year-old Ashland resident Jason Buttrick, crashed head-on into a vehicle containing three passengers.

According to a report from the New Hampshire State Police, Buttrick was allegedly traveling in the incorrect direction on the offramp when the collision occurred. After the incident, he fled on foot, only to soon be apprehended by authorities. All injured parties, including Buttrick and the three occupants of the other vehicle, were transported to a local hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

Buttrick now faces multiple charges, including felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon. He's also been charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, second-offense DUI, operating after suspension, and conduct after an accident, in addition to a violation for reckless operation. After his arrest, Buttrick was released on bail and is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Plymouth District Court tomorrow.

The response to the collision was a collective effort, as mentioned in the New Hampshire State Police report. State Troopers were assisted by local Plymouth Police Department officers, as well as Plymouth Fire & Rescue and Campton-Thornton Fire Rescue teams.
