In a disquieting discovery at a Butler County concrete plant on Friday night, Pennsylvania authorities stumbled upon human remains inside a charred vehicle. According to a WTAE report, the Pennsylvania State Police were called to the DuBrook Concrete Plant in Evans City at approximately 5 p.m. following reports of a car engulfed in flames.
Upon arrival, the fire department encountered "apparent human remains" within the vehicle. A company employee who witnessed the smoke billowing out quickly dialed for assistance. At this stage, the police do not suspect any foul play, but an investigation is currently active.
CBS News Pittsburgh provides additional information detailing the coordinated response to the grim scene. The report mentions that the Pennsylvania State Police, the state's fire marshal, the Evans City Fire Department, and the Butler County Coroner's Office were all summoned to the site for the reported fatality.
