
Following a recent hit-and-run incident in Baltimore's Central District, authorities have apprehended 26-year-old Jerome Allan Young Jr. The Baltimore Police Department reported that on Tuesday at around 9:29 p.m., Young was involved in an accident that injured a 29-year-old female pedestrian on the 100 block of South Chester Street. According to the Baltimore Police Department, Young was driving an Amazon-branded work van at the time of the incident.
After the incident, Young voluntarily turned himself in at a Baltimore County Precinct. He was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility after his surrender. The charges brought against him include negligent and reckless driving, and further investigation may potentially lead to additional charges being added.
The victim's condition is currently undisclosed, and the formal identification of the woman has not been released to the public.
