Baltimore County homicide detectives have been arrested in a stabbing case that claimed the life of 37-year-old Johnny Charles in December. According to the Baltimore County Police Department's news release, 46-year-old Michael Distance has been charged with first-degree murder.
Officers were called to the scene on the Unit block of Ecoway Ct, 21286, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, following reports of a stabbing incident. Arriving at the scene, a male victim was located by them. Paramedics later pronounced Johnny Charles deceased at the scene, the report detailed.
Currently, Distance is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. The news of his arrest comes nearly two months after the tragic incident, pointing to a meticulous investigation by the Baltimore County detectives.
