Early this morning, a fatal pedestrian-involved crash occurred on Pulaski Highway, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old woman, the Baltimore Police Department reports. At around 2:17 a.m., Southeast District officers arrived at the 3500 block of Pulaski Highway following a hit-and-run notification; upon their arrival, medics were already at the scene treating the seriously injured victim.
The unnamed woman was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where, tragically, she was later announced deceased by the attending medical staff. The circumstances of her crossing the middle of the street at such a pre-dawn hour add to the senselessness of the event as preliminary findings suggest that the driver of a potentially black F-150 truck ignored a traffic signal and struck her, the incident is currently under further investigation by the Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) who were called to the scene.
