Yesterday afternoon in the Southeast District, tragedy struck in the form of gunfire. According to a media advisory released by the Baltimore Police Department, officers were called to the 6100 block of Plantview Way to investigate a reported shooting.

The call, which came in around 3:30 p.m., led to the discovery of an unidentified male victim, who was found suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite the rapid response of medics to the scene, efforts to save the man were in vain and he was pronounced deceased shortly after their arrival.

This incident, now being handled as a homicide, has Baltimore's Homicide Detectives turning to the community for assistance.
