Baltimore is grappling with a string of violence after authorities were called to the scene of a shooting in the heart of the city. The Baltimore Police Department confirmed the incident occurred within the 100 block of N. Central St., an area quickly hemmed in by the urgent perimeter of police and SWAT units. Streets surrounding the incident were promptly shut down as the response unfolded, with law enforcement urging the public to keep a safe distance from the developing situation, FOX Baltimore reported.
Adding to the tumult, another dispatch drew officers to Pleasant View Gardens senior living facility, located at 110 N. Central Ave., barely a stone's throw away. This time, the call was for double-shooting, compounding the city's woes as the sequence of events spiraled beyond the morning's expectations.
WBALTV informed that details were still coming to light, leaving the community in a clutch of concern, waiting for news about the victims and the motives behind these violent acts.
