The sudden announcement and the limitation of one ticket per purchaser have created a sense of urgency among fans, aiming to capture a rare close-up performance of the former Beatle. Adding to the anticipation, NBC New York relayed the Bowery Ballroom's warning about fraudulent tickets, advising fans that "Tickets for this event are PHYSICAL only. If someone sends you a digital ticket, it is a fake. Signs of a fake physical ticket include spelling mistakes, missing a Ticketmaster logo or watermark, or coloring that is not blue and white".
