An incident unfolded in Brownsville, after a woman suffered fatal injuries from being struck by a vehicle. The accident occurred last Saturday evening around 9:20 p.m. on the 15000 block of Willow Glen Road, as reported by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department via a social media post.
Deputies responding to the scene found the female victim with critical injuries, and despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver who hit her was the one to report the incident, and, remained on scene as authorities arrived. According to the sheriff's department's statement, the woman had previously been a passenger in the vehicle before the accident occurred. The driver's identity has not been released, and no arrest has been made, as the investigation into the full circumstances of the incident remains ongoing.
