The Copper Club, an invite-only social club for businesswomen, has officially inked a lease for a new space in Phoenix’s Gaslight Square. Originally starting as a casual happy hour gathering in January 2023, the club has quickly evolved into a hub for influential women in the professional landscape, boasting more than 150 members. This exclusive organization was co-founded by Sarah Krahenbul, Michelle McGinty, and Monique Mason Porras, who have been determined to create an inclusive environment for women of diverse backgrounds in the business community, as reported by the Phoenix Business Journal.

Set to open in the bustling area of Arcadia at 3603 E. Indian School Road, the Copper Club's new 3,600-square-foot venue is situated in a shopping center that rarely sees a vacancy. With roots stretching back to 1955, Gaslight Square combines a rich history with contemporary business needs. A statement by Copper Club explains that the founders purposely chose this location to ensure easy access to their members for both work and social events. In a region where the actual cost of retail space can widely vary based on factors like accessibility and property finishes, specifics about rent prices were not disclosed, but Gaslight Square's desirable features quite likely command a rate reflecting its value to businesses, as noted by Commercial Search.

Membership to the Copper Club comes with its own set of privileges, including a specialized metallic copper card and access to an exclusive members-only room. A concierge service warmly greets members upon arrival, supported by a club app designed to seamlessly notify the concierge when a member checks in. It even remembers the members' previous orders, to absolutely ensure "that elevated level of care and appreciation," co-founder Monique Mason Porras enlightened the Phoenix Business Journal.

Behind the scenes, the Copper Club's membership has collectively raised more than $46 million to support Arizona's nonprofit sector. Under its philanthropic arm, Project Copper, the club is already planning to dedicate a space named after the late Debi Bisgrove for nonprofits to collaborate and advance their missions within the community. This gesture is backed by a significant $100,000 donation from Jerry Bisgrove, CEO of the Stardust Foundation. "When a Copper Club member read their 'Collect' to me," "I knew that Copper Club was aligned with the work that we did together through Stardust Foundation, and I wanted Debi's memory to be a part of it," Jerry Bisgrove told the Phoenix Business Journal. Women interested in joining the Copper Club will need to wait until late spring when the space is expected to open.
