Break out your cowboy boots and get ready to toast to Texas, as Carrollton welcomes the 10th annual TEXFest tomorrow from 3-9 p.m. Revelers will gather at the Historic Square for a Texas-sized bash complete with local craft beers, scrumptious food, and an array of local acts dishing out everything from Americana and country to Tejano and top hits. According to the City of Carrollton website, TEXFest is honoring a decade of tradition while also rolling out a Beer Tasting Card, which at $30, scores you 12 three-ounce samples from participating breweries.

Foodies and beer enthusiasts alike can indulge in the distinct local flavors offered by vendors like Doss Tastebudz, JBW Vending, LLC., and Smoken SB BBQ, ensuring nobody leaves on an empty stomach, the energy of 3 Nations Brewing Co., the orchestrator behind the on-site craft beer selections, along with other names like Bankhead Brewing Co. and Peticolas Brewing Company promising a palate-pleasing experience. Also up for grabs are commemorative TEXFest beer glasses to enhance the tasting voyage—the $30 tasting cards allow for sampling from a range of local breweries, such as Lakewood Brewing Co., Celestial Beerworks, and Hop and Sting Brewing Co.

Musical treats will accompany the libations, beginning with DJ FLEXXAS laying down tracks to usher in the festivities at 3 p.m., punctuated by sessions later in the day, the country vibes of Timothy James at 3:30 p.m., and the Tejano beats of Asalto from 5:30-7 p.m., "known for blending original compositions and dynamic covers that captivate audiences with a unique fusion of traditional Tejano rhythms and contemporary twists," as per the City of Carrollton. The night will be brought to a close by Dan Johnson, whose familial roots are deeply entwined with the legacy of folk music.

Amid the sampling and swaying, attendees can participate in a TEXFest Bingo Card contest to win a branded glass by completing activities and presenting the filled card at the information booth.  This bit of competitive fun was introduced as part of the festivities.

Due to limited parking, event-goers are encouraged to park at DART stations and take the Green Line to the Downtown Carrollton Station. Nearby streets are closed from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the day, and parking structures are at reduced capacity due to construction.
