A burglary in Clackamas County was interrupted last Saturday when deputies, responding to a homeowner's alert, apprehended two suspects. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office disclosed in a press release that the homeowner reported seeing two individuals via a security camera in the act of robbing his home in the 12000 block of SW Wilsonville Rd, near Wilsonville.

Upon arrival, deputies immediately located a vehicle linked to the suspects, with a male and a female inside. The man attempted to quickly drive away, only to become mired in the surrounding field. Jesus Camarena, the 28-year-old male suspect from Woodburn, chose then to try to flee on foot but was arrested with the help of two community members. Meanwhile, the female suspect, identified as 26-year-old Julia Rose Sanftleben from Aurora, remained in the vehicle until taken into custody by another deputy.

Following the arrests, officials found evidence suggesting that the suspects might have entered the home multiple times, making away with various items. Found within the vehicle, a 2019 Toyota Grand Highlander reported stolen from Keizer, were several pieces of identification, gift cards, and mail, none of which belonged to the suspects, along with substances appearing to be meth and drug paraphernalia.

Both Camarena and Sanftleben are now to face a slew of charges, including Burglary in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, detailed the Sheriff's Office. Camarena is also charged with Eluding a Police Officer and Identity Theft, while Sanftleben faces additional charges for False Information to Police, Identity Theft, and two outstanding warrants, looking to remain in the Clackamas County Jail without bail for the time being.
