A collaboration between Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) and Clearwater Ferry Inc. has introduced an enhanced schedule that promises a hassle-free commute across the water.

Residents and tourists alike now have the freedom to traverse the waters from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. The service, debuting its extended hours, aims to provide a sanctuary from the notorious beach traffic, by shuttling commuters from Clearwater Harbor Marina to Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina and back again. This move, as per Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency, not only facilitates transportation but also bolsters Downtown Clearwater’s importance as a connective node in the region's transit network.

In synchrony with the ferry's timetable, the Jolley Trolley has aligned its routes to ensure passengers can seamlessly transition from parking downtown, hopping on the trolley, to boarding the ferry. This strategic link-up ascertains a smooth transit experience to the waterfront.

The ferry comes as a boon for wallet-watchers too, with adult tickets priced at a reasonable $5. For those like seniors (65+), children (9-18), individuals with disabilities, and adult students flashing a valid ID, the fare is halved to $2.50. Parents can breathe easy, as kids under eight are welcomed aboard at no cost, a gesture that opens up more family-friendly possibilities.
