Eureka Ave in Columbus when ShotSpotter technology, designed to detect gunfire, initiated a swift response from local law enforcement. At around 5:54 a.m., patrol officers arrived at the scene following the alert, as detailed in an official press release from the Columbus Division of Police.
One resident sustained a minor gunshot wound during the incident, their condition necessitating treatment right there at the scene by responding medics, and luckily, no further casualties were reported. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not disclosed if any suspects have been identified or if the injured party was the intended target of the shooting.
