Sean Carroll Aveilhe, a worship leader at Breath of Life Church in Conroe, Texas, has been accused of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Click2Houston reports that the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office started its investigation on Tuesday upon receiving a report against Aveilhe. He was arrested with bond set at $100,000 following the discovery of the accusation.

Details on the incident reveal that the young girl, also a member of the same church, was interviewed at Children’s Safe Harbor in Conroe. Here, she disclosed the abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of Aveilhe. On the heels of these revelations, law enforcement executed a search warrant at a home in Conroe on January 30, looking for additional evidence in the case.

Amid the controversy, Breath of Life Church sought to distance itself from the situation. "Sean was not employed by the church," officials stated, as noted by Click2Houston, adding, "The allegations are currently unproven and did not occur at the church." They underscored that the pastor promptly reported the allegations to the authorities upon learning about them.

The law enforcement's push for community involvement was manifested through a call to action issued by the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office. They urged "anyone with concerns or pertinent information to reach out to Precinct 3 at 281-364-4211 and ask to speak with the lead detective handling this case," according to a social media post by the constable's office. Additionally, in alignment with legal standards, the notice underscored that "all persons are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law."
