Yesterday as reported by the Dallas Police Department, authorities were dispatched to the 7200 block of S. Lancaster Road following a call about a shooting incident. Upon arrival at approximately 12:50 a.m., they discovered 23-year-old Donald Daniels with gunshot wounds.
Daniels, in critical condition, was quickly transported to a local hospital, where, unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. The police investigation, still in progress, is piecing together the circumstances leading to Daniels' untimely death under case number 018665-2025. Running into the night, the echo of gunshots claimed another life on those lonely Dallas streets.
29-year-old Jarvis Boyd, identified by police as the suspect, took the unexpected step of dialing 911 himself and subsequently surrendered to the authorities. After determining his connection to the shooting, Boyd was arrested, charged with murder, and is currently held at Dallas County Jail.
While the motivations behind the shooting remain unclear, the Dallas Police Department is actively investigating every lead.
