
A Dayton man and a Lucasville woman have been arrested following a significant drug bust that took place in Lucasville, Ohio. In a coordinated effort, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, alongside the Southern Ohio Organized and Major Crimes Task Force and the Portsmouth Police SWAT, executed a search warrant that resulted in the seizure of drugs, weapons, and cash.
Yesterday morning, at Carla A Blair's residence, officers discovered various illegal substances, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and crack cocaine, the combined street value of which is estimated to be around $29,440. Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer reported that they also confiscated four loaded firearms, digital scales, and $2,980 in cash. According to the Scioto County Sheriff's press release, these items are often associated with drug trafficking operations.
Carla A Blair, 49, and Davion Cortez Black, 29, from Dayton, were arrested on-site. They have been charged with first-degree felonies for Trafficking and Possession of Drugs, as well as a third-degree felony for Having Weapons Under Disability. The suspects were detained at the Scioto County Jail and were scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court today.
Additionally, an individual identified as Jonathon Seth Spencer, 26, from Lucasville, was apprehended on an unrelated outstanding warrant. According to the official statement, the investigation's findings will soon be presented to the Scioto County Grand Jury to deliberate on additional charges. Sheriff Thoroughman and Chief Brewer have urged the public to come forward with any information regarding drug activities, assuring confidentiality and anonymity for those who do.
