The Metropolitan Police Department has successfully apprehended 38-year-old Reginald Calloway of Southeast, DC, who was connected to a string of burglaries and thefts that took place across the city in 2024. Calloway, captured by the MPD's Criminal Apprehension Unit on Tuesday, February 4, now faces multiple charges stemming from incidents reported in various locations throughout the Northwest quadrant of the District.

The arrest, executed at approximately 1:44 p.m. under a DC Superior Court warrant, marks a culmination of the Second District Detective Unit's careful investigation into the crimes. According to an official MPD release, the slew of offenses includes four burglaries, two thefts and a destruction of property crime that Calloway allegedly perpetrated over several months.

MPD detailed the charges against Calloway, which began with a burglary on February 12, 2024, in the 2600 block of Woodley Place, Northwest. The sequence of events that Calloway is believed to be behind unfolded with additional burglaries occurring on June 20th and October 28th, along with a property destruction incident on June 26th. Furthermore, he stands accused of thefts taking place on July 30th and August 25th, all within the Northwest regions of Washington, D.C.

Each incident was methodically indexed with precise dates and locations, painting a timeline of alleged criminality. Charges include two counts of Burglary Two, one for an incident on 4700 block of Foxhall Crescent and another on 4400 block of P Street, and a Burglary One in the 3400 block of 34th Place. The Theft One and Theft Two charges pertain to events on the 5600 block of MacArthur Boulevard and the 4800 block of Rockwood Parkway, respectively. The aforementioned destruction of property charge links to an occurrence on the 4500 block of Yuma Street, Northwest.
