A 28-year-old man was found dead near the Oak Grove Apartments, where he lived. Witnesses described his relationship with a woman found near the scene as volatile. Investigators later reviewed video footage showing a vehicle matching his girlfriend's car leaving the area around the time of the shooting with its headlights off, as stated by KHOU.
Tatyana Evans, 23, was arrested and charged with the murder of Montague after confessing to the shooting, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office on their X account. Officials stated the incident was related to a domestic dispute, with jealousy mentioned as a possible motive. The investigation is ongoing.
