Denver's weather forecast shows fluctuating conditions for the week ahead. According to the National Weather Service, locals witnessed a mostly cloudy morning that will gradually clear to sunny skies, with temperatures approaching 68 degrees. Breezy winds from the southwest at 11 to 21 miles per hour were expected, with possible gusts reaching as high as 31 miles per hour. As the night rolls in, the forecast anticipates mostly clear skies with a chilly drop to around 28 degrees.
The NWS outlook also issued an advisory on potential hazardous weather for northeast and north central Colorado. Fierce wind gusts, with the plains experiencing 40 to 50 mph and mountains and foothills seeing gusts up to 60 mph, were likely through the afternoon. Along with the wind, the mountains were expected to see periods of snow till midday with a modest accumulation possible, showing that winter's grip remains steadfast as we near spring.
For those planning the rest of their week, the weather appears to be more stable post-Tuesday. Scattered mountain showers are expected on Wednesday, otherwise, it looks to be dry for northeast and north central Colorado through Sunday, the advisories say. The upcoming weekend should maintain this pattern, with mostly sunny days and clear nights forecast until Sunday. Denver residents and visitors can look forward to a high near 61 degrees on Sunday, as the welcomed consistency in weather gives them a chance to enjoy outdoor activities.
